Why SpeedFollowers Exists
Ryan Callahan started streaming on Twitch in 2017, playing indie games and doing tech commentary. He was consistent, prepared, and genuinely entertaining — and for almost two years, his channel sat below 300 followers. Not because the content was bad. Because Twitch's discovery system made it nearly impossible for new channels to get seen.
The problem was simple: Twitch sorts every category by live viewer count. If you're streaming to three viewers, you're on page 40. Nobody reaches page 40. The algorithm doesn't care how good you are if you're invisible.
After testing every growth method available — networking, cross-promotion, hosting, raids — Ryan got serious about the visibility problem and started building what would become SpeedFollowers. The goal wasn't to manufacture fake success. It was to get real streamers into the window where real people could actually find them.
We launched publicly in January 2020. In the first year we helped over 2,000 streamers. We've never caused a single account ban. That record matters to us more than anything else.
